Avoid Nonessential Travel

CDC

  • Nepal standing travel notice. CDC recommends that US residents avoid all nonessential travel to Nepal. If you must travel, such as for humanitarian aid work, then protect yourself by following CDC’s advice below.
  • Ebola standing travel notice. CDC urges all US residents to avoid nonessential travel to Guinea and Sierra Leone because of unprecedented outbreaks of Ebola in those countries.

  • 06/12/2015 Syria. “Government air strikes have reportedly killed more than a hundred civilians in the past week. Employing means or methods of combat which cannot distinguish civilian from military objectives..” United Nations officials.
  • 06/11/2015 Regional security under threat in Central Africa. The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel group in Central Africa, continues to pose a threat to regional security particularly to populations in the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo according to the United Nations.
