Avoid Nonessential Travel
U.S. Department of State
- Iraq Travel Warning. The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Iraq.
- Libya Travel Warning. The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Libya and recommends that U.S. citizens currently in Libya depart immediately.
- Turkey Travel Warning. U.S. citizens are warned of increased threats from terrorist groups in Turkey. Carefully consider the need to travel to Turkey at this time, and avoid travel to southeast Turkey due to the persistent threat of terrorism.

- U.S. Temporary Immigration Restrictions. Members traveling to and from the US should anticipate heightened security at airports and land border crossings nationwide following the signing of an executive order detailing new immigration procedures.

- Avian Flu (H7N9) in China. Chinese health authorities have confirmed human cases of avian influenza A (H7N9) since September 2016. CDC advises people traveling to China to avoid contact with poultry (including poultry markets and farms), birds, and their droppings and to avoid eating undercooked poultry. Infected birds that appear healthy may still be able to transmit this virus to humans.
