OIE Spring 2024 Exchange programs

Exchange programs offer students the opportunity to study abroad, learn about different cultures, and gain a global perspective on their chosen field of study. All of this while paying your regular UT Dallas tuition. UTD offers a wide range of exchange programs through their Office of International Education (OIE), which partners with 40+ universities around the world.

The American University of Sharjah (AUS)
AUS is located in Sharjah (20 minutes away from Dubai) in the United Arab Emirates and offers a unique opportunity for students to study in a multicultural environment. The university offers courses in English in a wide range of fields, including business, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. Students can study at AUS for one or two semesters, and the program is open to students from all majors. In addition to coursework, students can participate in cultural activities, such as Arabic language classes, cultural tours, and community service projects.
Philipps-Universitat Marburg
Philipps-Universitat Marburg is located in Germany. The International Undergraduate Study Program (IUSP) at Philipps-Universitat Marburg is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students from around the world to study at one of Germany’s oldest and most prestigious universities. The program is designed to provide students with an immersive academic and cultural experience, as well as opportunities to develop their language skills and engage in extracurricular activities during the Fall and Spring semesters.
The program offers courses taught in English and provides opportunities for language and cultural development through extracurricular activities. Students are responsible for their accommodation and living expenses, and the program provides guidance and support to help them adjust to life in Marburg. The program aims to provide students with a global perspective on their field of study and prepare them for a successful future career.
Eligibility:
- Student must be a UT Dallas degree seeking student.
- Student must be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.000 GPA at the time of application.
- Student must be in good disciplinary standing.
- Student must complete the application process in the Comets Abroad portal prior to departure.
- Students are required to have completed at least two full-time semesters of study at UTD by the time of their intended program abroad.
- Students must be enrolled full-time at UTD at the time of application.
- Be able to stay at the host university for the duration of their semester, INCLUDING through their exam period.
- All Non-U.S. Citizens are welcome to apply to participate in an exchange outside of their home country only. This rule applies to all who do not have a U.S. passport, including U.S. Permanent Residents.
