Risk Authorization Request
If any of the destinations in your itinerary requires risk authorization, prepare the information needed to request risk authorization. Preparing the information in advance will help you anticipate risks, add mitigation measures to your planning, and have it ready to add to the travel authorization request form.
- If you are a Program Leader taking a student group abroad, then prepare this information with the student group in mind.
- If you are a participant of a student group going abroad. The Program Leader is preparing the risk authorization request information on behalf of the group, however you can still request a personal pre-departure risk review.
- For all travelers, it is recommended to wait for risk authorization before making financial commitments. If you have any questions, please contact International Risk and Safety at IRSO@utdallas.edu.
- Carefully review risks and safety advice for the destination, as noted by the U.S. Department of State, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- Obtain a Risk and Safety Pre-Departure Trip Review.
- Answer the appropriate COVID-19 and Emergency Preparedness questionnaires for your trip:
- Employee travel: COVID-19 and Emergency Preparedness questionnaires.
- One Student travel (not part of a group): COVID-19 and Emergency Preparedness questionnaires
- Student Group travel: Emergency Preparedness questionnaire.
